Eclipse Weekend at the Buffalo Naval Park
A total eclipse is coming to Buffalo on Monday, April 8 and we will be celebrating all weekend long with a variety of tours and events (see details below):
Book Signing: Shane Stephenson
Visit the Buffalo Naval Park’s gift shop on April 5-8, 2024, and meet our Curator and Director of Museum Collections, Shane Stephenson, who will be signing copies of his book: Images of America: The Buffalo Naval Park. Admission to the Buffalo Naval Park is not required.
Friday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM & 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM, Monday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Take a guided tour of the Buffalo Naval & Military Park with a docent to learn even more about the largest inland Naval Park in the country.

Behind the Scenes Curator Tour
The Curator Tour is a special 2-hour behind the scenes tour that includes spaces on board USS The Sullivans, USS Little Rock and PTF-17 that are not available on any other tour.
Available Friday: 1:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 AM & 1:30 PM
This specialty 90-minute tour with our Lead Technical Volunteer offers a guided experience to learn more about electronic combat systems and the use and function of Radar, Combat Information Center (CIC), target track, plotting, and sheep/fleet formation and maneuvering.
Available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, & 2:30 PM
The Buffalo Naval & Military Park is open to the public for self-guided tours on Wednesday – Sunday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with last admission at 4:00 PM.
