On April 13, the Buffalo Naval Park will host a ceremony near the WNY Hispanic American Veterans Memorial at 10 AM to honor National Borinqueneers Day. The designation of April 13 as National Borinqueneers Day recognizes the bravery, service, and sacrifice of the 65th Infantry Regiment, a U.S. Army unit that consisted mostly of soldiers from Puerto Rico. They fought in World War I, World War II, and Korea.
This outdoor event is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing will be required.
