The historic war memorials at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park’s Monuments Garden honors several lifetimes of service in the U.S. Armed Forces. In addition to educating the public with our artifacts, our mission includes honoring and remembering Veterans. One of the ways we strive to do this is through our Monuments Garden.

Located in our green oasis along the waterfront, the Monuments Garden is home to many monuments, including the Iraq-Afghanistan Monument, Vietnam Memorial, Purple Heart Memorial, The Battle Within PTSD Monument, Hispanic American Veterans Memorial, and the African American Veterans Monument. This space can serve as a quiet place for remembrance and reflection before or after touring our museum and ships.
