Halloween Event
Nightmare Wharf is Buffalo’s newest cutting edge haunted attraction and immersive Halloween event, located at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park on the Buffalo waterfront. Guests can expect a large scale Halloween experience with themed environments, dramatic lighting, fog heavy atmosphere, photo opportunities, and entertainment throughout the grounds, plus a full bar and gathering areas to regroup between attractions.

On November 1, Nightmare Wharf culminates with a one night only immersive experience designed for guests who want to go deeper. Participants may encounter extended scenes, closer performer interaction, and moments where they are singled out, separated, or drawn directly into the story.

Nightmare Wharf is coming to the Buffalo waterfront for 17 nights in October and early November 2026. Nightmare Wharf is a large scale nighttime Halloween event featuring multiple attractions, immersive walkthrough experiences, live actors, outdoor scare zones, themed photo ops, entertainment throughout the site, and a full bar on the waterfront. Portions of the event take place on nationally significant, protected historic U.S. Navy vessels, creating a one of a kind setting that cannot be replicated elsewhere.
Yes. Nightmare Wharf is designed as an intense Halloween experience featuring darkness, fog, jump scares, unsettling environments, live performers, and high sensory impact moments throughout the campus.
The event is designed primarily for teens and adults and may be too intense for younger children. Parental discretion is strongly advised.
Nightmare Wharf is located directly on Buffalo’s waterfront at Canalside and is easily accessible from downtown Buffalo, nearby hotels, and regional highways. For more detailed directions and parking info, click here.
Yes. The Boneyard midway area features themed food, specialty drinks, gathering spaces, music, and roaming entertainment throughout the night. Additional food and beverage offerings will be announced throughout the season.
