Old Fort Niagara will be joining us at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park for a special family day to learn about A Soldier’s Life, featuring a visit by a member of the fort staff, dressed in the military uniform of one of the fort’s historic garrisons. Using the uniform itself, as well as other items representative of a soldier’s personal equipment and belongings (knapsack, haversack, clothing, blankets, games, utensils, grooming supplies, etc.), the trials and joys of everyday life will be brought to life.

Join us in the Hangar Building on Sunday, July 9 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Families will be able to see and touch reproductions of historic clothing and equipment, making a direct connection with history. It is free and open to the public.
