SUMMARY:One Life – One Flag
DESCRIPTION:  \nOne Life – One Flag \n“A tribute to those we will always carry\, and to those we can no longer hold.” \n  \nThese words are etched into the Battle Within Monument at the Buffalo Naval Park\, which recognizes Veterans who have taken their own lives due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It’s also meant to be a touchstone for those who still struggle\, as well as for their families and caregivers. \n  \n  \n  \n  \nThe outbreak of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus has impacted operations and planning for the 2020 season\, including our annual Memorial Day commemoration\, but we are pleased to announce a collaboration with The Battle Within Foundation to honor those who have fallen but will never be forgotten. \n  \nThroughout Memorial Day weekend\, 7\,300 flags will blanket the grounds of the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park to represent the United States Veterans who have lost their battle with PTSD. From May 23-25\, drive by the Naval Park to see the installation and please wear a mask and maintain social distancing if you choose to walk through the grounds. No facilities or restrooms will be available. \n  \nIf you wish to make a $20.20 or greater donation to help the Buffalo Naval Park and the Battle Within Foundation\, you will receive one of the flags from our Memorial Day weekend salute along with a certificate. Click here to purchase a flag and certificate. \n  \nIf you wish to make a donation without the purchase of a flag\, please use the PayPal button below. \nMAKE A DONATION: \n\n\n\n\nThe ongoing mission for The Battle Within Foundation is to connect Veterans with the care they need and to help with funding. \nWe wish you all a safe and healthy Memorial Day weekend. \n  \nThis event is presented by: \n       \n  \n  \n
